Nest & Nourish Care provides supportive, non-medical postpartum services focused on wellness, newborn care education, family support, certified lactation guidance, and in-home overnight newborn support designed to promote parental rest, confidence, and safety through education and assistance with routine infant care; our services are informational and supportive in nature and are not a substitute for medical care, diagnosis, treatment, or emergency services, and clients are advised to seek immediate medical attention or call 911 in urgent situations; by engaging our services, you agree to provide complete and accurate health information, disclose any allergies or special care needs, remain reachable during visits (including overnight services), maintain a safe home environment, supply all necessary feeding items, medications, and equipment, and understand that Nest & Nourish Care reserves the right to reschedule, modify, or decline services if conditions are unsafe, inappropriate, or outside our scope; all services are private pay and self-funded, with deposits and payments generally non-refundable, though rescheduling may be accommodated at our discretion, and cancellations with less than 24 hours’ notice may be charged in full; by booking lactation, postpartum, or overnight newborn support services, you consent for Nest & Nourish Care providers, including Registered Nurses and International Board Certified Lactation Consultants, to work with you and your baby during in-person, phone, or virtual consultations and support sessions, acknowledging that services may involve appropriate physical contact such as touching breasts and/or nipples for assessment, observing feeding sessions with guidance on latch or positioning, demonstration and use of feeding or pumping equipment, assistance with routine infant care, and, when indicated, gentle insertion of a gloved finger into your baby’s mouth to assess suck; you further acknowledge that, with verbal parent authorization, providers may assist with administering over-the-counter products supplied by the family strictly according to parental direction and that all such assistance will be documented, while Nest & Nourish Care does not initiate, prescribe, or determine medication use and is not responsible for outcomes related to products provided by the client; you understand that follow-up visits may be recommended, that supplies, feeding tools, or breast pumps may be suggested as part of educational support, and that you are responsible for promptly informing Nest & Nourish Care of any changes in your or your baby’s health status; in the event of an emergency, you authorize providers to contact emergency services and notify you immediately, recognizing that such actions do not constitute medical treatment; you consent to the maintenance of visit notes and service documentation for quality, accountability, and continuity of care, which do not constitute medical records, and you acknowledge that, with your permission, de-identified clinical notes or photographs may be used for professional consultation or educational purposes; while Nest & Nourish Care respects your privacy and protects your information in accordance with professional codes of ethics for nursing and lactation practice, you acknowledge that Nest & Nourish Care and its independent contractors maintain their own professional licenses and liability coverage and that Nest & Nourish Care is not liable for outcomes related to postpartum recovery, breastfeeding, newborn care, parent-directed decisions, undisclosed conditions, or events outside reasonable control; all written materials, educational resources, policies, and program content are the intellectual property of Nest & Nourish Care and may not be reproduced, distributed, or shared without written permission; by booking services, you confirm that you have read, understood, and voluntarily agreed to these Terms of Service and Consent for Care, which are governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the State of Louisiana.
